Guy Cohen

Guy Cohen has a diverse range of work experience in the electronics engineering field. Guy started their career at Physical Optics Corporation as an Electronics Engineer, where they played a vital role in designing and testing electronics projects for military and defense applications. Guy also created a digital inventory database and designed a wireless residential energy monitoring system. Guy was later promoted to Senior Electronics Engineer, where they supervised projects for the U.S. DOD, NASA, and NIH.

In 2013, Guy Cohen joined simplehuman as their first full-time Electronics Engineer and went on to build the R&D and Electronics Engineering division from the ground up. Guy hired and managed a team of engineers and established trusting relationships with component manufacturers and distributors. Guy later held multiple roles at simplehuman, including Head of Product Development, Director of Electronics Engineering, and VP of Technology and Operations. In these roles, they led teams, developed and executed engineering strategies, and implemented emerging technologies such as speech and image recognition and machine learning.

Currently, Guy Cohen serves as the Chief Operations Officer at simplehuman, where they oversee the overall operations of the company.

Guy Cohen completed their Master of Business Administration (MBA) degree in the Executive MBA Program at the University of California, Los Angeles in 2014. Prior to that, they obtained a degree in Electrical Engineering from UCLA in 2006.
