Sean Byun has extensive experience in the sales and operations field. sean is currently the Co-Chief Executive Officer at simplehuman, a role they have held since March 2023. Prior to this, they served as the Sr. Vice President of Sales, Operations, and Customer Support at simplehuman from July 2018 to April 2023.

Before joining simplehuman, Sean held various roles at Umbra. sean served as the Vice President of Sales from 2011 to 2018 and as a Sales Director from July 2002 to 2011. During their time at Umbra, they also worked as the US Regional Sales Manager for the New England region and the Southwest US region. sean started their career at Umbra as an Inventory Planner-Imports in 1996.

Sean Byun attended York University from 1990 to 1994, where they studied Math and Commerce.
