Liya Melikyan

Liya Melikyan has a diverse work experience starting from being an Engineer Intern at SimplePractice in 2022. Prior to that, they were a Full-time fellow in the Software Engineering Immersive program at General Assembly from October 2021 to January 2022. Liya also worked as a Piano Instructor at Angeles Academy of Music from January 2020 to February 2021. Earlier in their career, they were a Music Teacher at Education Through Music-Los Angeles from February 2018 to June 2019, a Piano Teacher at La Canada School of Music from 2014 to January 2019, and a Piano Instructor at Alhambra School of Music from June 2014 to October 2017. Additionally, they worked as an Office Administrative Assistant at Thornton School of Music from August 2013 to June 2014.

Liya Melikyan began their education at Los Angeles Valley College in 2008, where they studied music. Liya continued their studies at the University of Southern California from 2011 to 2014, earning a Bachelor's Degree in Piano Performance. Following this, they pursued a Master's Degree in Piano Performance at the University of Southern California from 2014 to 2016. More recently, in 2021 and 2022, they attended General Assembly to acquire knowledge in the field of computer software engineering.
