John M. Rubio

John M. Rubio has over 32 years of leadership experience in delivering successful large-scale Lean transformations across various industries. John M. has worked in healthcare, aerospace, military/DoD, and the industrial sector. John M. has extensive experience in the healthcare industry, working with hospitals, clinics, and payers of all sizes and specialties. John M. has been associated with Simpler Consulting, an IBM Company, since 2001, serving in different roles such as Vice President/Partner, Vice President, and Director. John M. has also served as the Vice President of Simpler West Region, an IBM Watson Company. Additionally, they have held positions at The Association for Manufacturing Excellence, Fleetwood Enterprises, Carriage Carpets, Masland Industries, Amtex Inc., Lear Corporation-Automotive, Bain Capital, and Parker Hannifin Corp. Racor Division, acquiring comprehensive experience in lean manufacturing and operations management.

John M. Rubio's education history is as follows:

From 1978 to 1980, they attended Modesto Junior College, where they pursued a degree in Liberal Arts and Sciences, with a focus on General Studies and Humanities.

In 1980, they transferred to Los Angeles Pierce College, where they studied Business Administration.

From 1980 to 1982, they attended California State University, Northridge, where they continued their studies in Business Law and Business Administration.

From 1982 to 1986, they enrolled at California State University, Stanislaus, majoring in Business Administration with a specialization in Production Operations Management-POM.

In 1996, they briefly studied Textile Sciences and Engineering at Clemson University.

In addition to their formal education, John M. Rubio has obtained various certifications throughout their career. These include the Enterprise Design Thinking Practitioner and IBM Volunteers - Bronze certifications from IBM, which they obtained in August and July 2023, respectively. John M. also received the IBM Volunteers Engagement Award and Healthcare Insights and Solutions (Gold) certifications in July and June 2023, respectively. Other certifications include Lean Certification - Green, Bronze, Silver, Gold from The University of Iowa in June 2013, Shingo Prize Examiner Workshop-Shingo 101 from the Shingo Institute in March 2008, and Lean Manufacturing Certification from the Georgia Institute of Technology in June 1998. Additionally, they received TPM Certification from the TPM Institute in June 1998, Dale Carnegie Course-Effective Speaking & Human Relations and Dale Carnegie - Leadership Training for Managers certifications from Dale Carnegie Training in December and November 1997, respectively. Further certifications include TQM-SPC Certification: Lean Six Sigma from Masland Carpets & Area Rugs in April 1996, Total Quality Management Certification from Modesto Junior College in April 1993, and CSUS Total Quality Management Certification from California State University, Stanislaus in March 1992.
