John Attaway has a diverse work experience in various industries. John started their career as an Event Specialist working as an Independent Contractor from 2003 to 2015. During this time, they successfully managed clients and trade show projects for companies such as Chicco, Chick-Fil-A, and M&M Mars. John also assisted in pitching designs to clients and sourcing items from vendors.
In 2008, John volunteered at the Georgia Lions Lighthouse Foundation, where they served on the marketing committee for the Night of Spectacles event. John played a role in planning, organizing, and obtaining donated items for the Silent Auction.
From 2009 to 2016, John worked as an Independent Marketing Consultant. In this role, they created and sent monthly customer newsletters, generated leads through email marketing, managed social media platforms such as Facebook and LinkedIn, and utilized Salesforce for marketing purposes.
In 2016, John joined Engel & Völkers as a PSA® Pricing Strategy Advisor and REALTOR® until 2017. John then worked at Berkshire Hathaway HomeServices Georgia Properties in the same role from 2017 to 2018.
Most recently, John has been working at SimpleShowing since November 2018 as a Lead Agent and also holds the titles of PSA® Pricing Strategy Advisor and REALTOR®. SimpleShowing is a tech-powered brokerage that focuses on making the home buying and selling process more accessible to consumers.
Additionally, John has co-owned Adventures in Atlanta since December 2013. It is an Atlanta-based event and review website recommending festivals, concerts, restaurants, and more. John has cultivated relationships with PR firms, media agencies, and festival collaborators while also creating content for social media platforms such as Twitter, Instagram, and Facebook.
John Attaway's education history consists of two main periods of study. From 1996 to 2001, they attended the University of Tennessee Chattanooga, where they pursued a Bachelor of Science degree in Psychology with a focus on Psychology and Art. Following this, in 2003 and 2004, John undertook graduate studies at The University of Tennessee at Chattanooga, concentrating on Business and Marketing. In terms of additional certifications, in February 2023, John obtained a certification in Fundamentals of Digital Marketing from Google Digital Garage.
