Stephen Smith

Stephen Smith has over 30 years of experience in the Information Technology (IT) field. Stephen began their career in 1991 as a Healthcare Administrator with the United States Air Force. In 1995, Stephen moved to Compuware Corporation as an Internet Development Consultant, where they supported Compuware's business development and engagement management for IT development programs. In 2000, Stephen joined Ford Motor Company as a Senior Program/Engineering Manager, IT Infrastructure, and went on to serve in various roles, including Business Relationship Manager, Global Quality and Sustainability, Strategy Manager, Enterprise Application Architecture, and B2C Platform Manager. In 2014, Stephen moved to Ford Motor Credit Company as an IT Manager, Marketing & Sales. After that, Stephen joined Tate & Lyle in 2015 as Vice President, IT Innovation and Vice President, IT Operations. In 2019, Stephen joined Nexential L.L.C. as an Executive Technology Consultant, and in 2020, they became an Advisory Board Member at ParentFile. Currently, Stephen is a Virtual Chief Information Officer (vCIO) at Simpleworks.

Stephen Smith completed a Bachelor of Science in Computer Information Systems from Chapman University in 1995. Prior to that, they attended Central Michigan University for one year, studying Mechanical Engineering. Stephen has also obtained certifications in IT Information Library Foundations Certification (ITIL) from AXELOS Global Best Practice in 2015, 6-Sigma from Ford Motor Company in 2002, and Michigan Licensed Real Estate Salesperson from the Michigan Department of Licensing and Regulatory Affairs in 2020.
