Tim Coutre

Tim Coutre is an FPGA Engineer at Simplex Investments since January 2019, focusing on the design and testing of low latency strategies for derivatives markets. Previously, Tim worked at Motorola Solutions, where the role involved developing an OpenCL BSP for a hardware acceleration platform and writing controllers and Linux drivers. Tim's early experience includes contributions as an Electrical Team Member for Wisconsin Racing, where electrical systems for an electric race car were designed, manufactured, and validated, and as a Signal Processing Student Assistant at the University of Wisconsin-Madison, teaching MATLAB signal processing techniques. Tim also interned in Technology Operations at ShopperTrak, assisting with IT tasks and projects. Tim holds a Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering and Math from the University of Wisconsin-Madison.
