Umer Khan has held various positions in the corporate world. Umer began their career in 2007 as a Consultant at Accenture, where they specialized in the Oil and Gas Industry. During their tenure, they conducted fit-gap analysis between the scope of Petrohawk and existing BHP Billiton Petroleum business, coordinated day-to-day progress of data conversion for Fayetteville Production Unit, and mapped financial accounts for ERI Inc. In 2013, they joined KPMG as a Senior Associate in Oil n' Gas Strategy & Operations. In 2015, they became the Engagement Manager at Strategy&, part of the PwC network (formerly Booz & Company) and the Chief Executive Officer at SimplexMed. In 2018, Umer Khan became the Treasurer of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) USA, where they managed the party's funds raised through fund raisers and personal donations, and maintained the party's registration with FARA (Foreign Agents Registration Act). Prior to this, they were a Lead Technical Analyst at Verizon Wireless from 2005-2007, where they handled escalated network issues for the high revenue business customers, and assessed the feasibility of SAP use for Verizon's financials as a pilot project.

Umer Khan completed a Master in Business Administration from THE UNIVERSITY OF TEXAS AT AUSTIN, McCombs School of Business between 2010 and 2012. Prior to that, they obtained a Bachelor of Science in Finance from UNIVERSITY OF HOUSTON CLEAR LAKE - Clear between 2002 and 2006.
