Laura Akers

Laura Akers is a Senior Instructional Designer at Simplicity Consulting, where they design and develop training materials, including innovative web-based trainings for Microsoft professionals. They previously held roles at T-Mobile, where they facilitated a culture shift toward agile practices and developed mobile training templates. With a background in instructional design spanning over a decade, Laura has worked with various organizations, including Azimuth Group LLC and the International Institute for Learning, focusing on learner-centered training and content management. They earned a PhD (ABD) in English, Critical Theory, and Gender Studies from the University of California, Davis, along with a BA in English and Theatre and an MA in English from the University of Nevada, Reno.
