Walter Weare

Walter Weare is a scientist with over 20 years of experience managing multi-disciplinary and multi-cultural research laboratories. Currently serving as the Director of Materials Innovation at Simplifyber, Walter leads R&D strategies focused on delivering high-performance materials to customers. Previously, they held positions as a Postdoctoral Chemist at Lawrence Berkeley National Laboratory and an Assistant Professor at North Carolina State University, where they explored electron transfer mechanisms and non-traditional chromophores. Walter’s extensive expertise is highlighted by over 30 peer-reviewed scientific publications and patents, underpinned by a Ph.D. in Chemistry from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology.
