Varun Pathak

Varun Pathak has extensive work experience in the field of Cyber Security. Varun began their career at Fraternity Technologies Pvt. Ltd. as a Cyber Security Instructor from 2010 to 2013. Varun then worked at Network Bulls as a Network Engineer & Certified Ethical Hacker from 2013 to 2014, where they coordinated and executed IT security projects and provided training on various topics. Varun continued their career at Infotel Group as a Data Center Engineer from 2014 to 2015, where they configured and managed network components and servers. Varun then joined PwC as a Cyber Security Analyst from 2015 to 2016, where they specialized in network and server configuration and conducted security audits. Varun was promoted to Cyber Security Consultant within 10 months of joining PwC India in 2016, focusing on network security audits. Additionally, they worked as a Freelancer Cyber Security Trainer since 2016, providing technical training to clients and institutions globally. Varun then worked as a Cyber Security Instructor at Lithan in 2020, Edureka in 2021, and Great Learning in 2020, where they continued to train and instruct on cyber security. Currently, they are working as a Cyber Security Trainer at Simplilearn since 2022.

Varun Pathak completed their Bachelor's degree in Information Technology from Dr. A.P.J. Abdul Kalam Technical University between 2009 and 2013. Prior to that, they pursued their Intermediate education in Mathematics from Lord Rishabh Inter College, Tundla from 2006 to 2008.

In terms of certifications, Varun has obtained various qualifications over the years. Varun became a Certified Ethical Hacker (C|EH) from EC-Council in February 2013. Later, in May 2015, they obtained the Cisco Certified Network Associate certification from Cisco. In August 2019, Varun achieved the Microsoft Technology Associate: Security Fundamentals (MTA) certification from Microsoft.

Continuing their professional development, Varun obtained the Certified Network Security Specialist certification from the International CyberSecurity Institute in May 2020. Varun also attained the Network Security Expert 2 certification from Fortinet in April 2020.

In recent years, Varun has pursued additional certifications, including the CompTIA Cloud+ ce Certification from CompTIA and the (ISC)² Candidate certification from (ISC)², both obtained in September 2022. Additionally, they became a Kaspersky Certified Trainer in February 2023 and achieved the Kaspersky Endpoint Security and Management 002.11.6 certification in January 2023. Lastly, they also became a Certified EC-Council Instructor and earned the Certified Soc Analyst (CSA) certification from EC-Council in May 2023.
