Danielle Dean

Danielle Dean, PhD, serves as the Sr. Director of Artificial Intelligence at SimpliSafe, overseeing the AI, Machine Learning, and Computer Vision organization since April 2024. Previously, Danielle held senior leadership positions at iRobot, including Sr. Director of Software Engineering, Artificial Intelligence, where responsibility included managing a global team of approximately 70 scientists and engineers in the Robot Autonomy department. At Microsoft, Danielle progressed through various roles, culminating as Principal Data Science Lead, where leadership involved an international team focused on creating AI solutions using Microsoft's Cloud AI Platform for diverse industries. Danielle's early career included a Data Scientist role at Nokia, generating insights from large data sets for a range of products and business initiatives. Danielle holds a PhD in Quantitative Psychology from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, along with an Executive Certificate in Strategy & Innovation from MIT Sloan and a dual bachelor’s degree in Psychology and Organizational Behavior from the University of Massachusetts Amherst.
