Edward Barber

Edward Barber is a seasoned software engineering professional with extensive experience in software development and management. Currently serving as a Senior Software Engineering Manager at SimpliSafe since May 2020, Edward has held various roles including Software Engineering Manager, Staff Software Engineer, and Senior Software Engineer. Prior to this, Edward spent over eleven years at Simtech Solutions, contributing as a Lead Developer on the CountingUs mobile app, which supports annual homeless census efforts, and overseeing the maintenance of the Regional Command Center backend. Edward's earlier experience includes roles as a Solutions Engineer and Programmer Analyst, where responsibilities included development work on a data management platform and client support for data quality monitoring. Edward began a career in IT as a Computer Technician at the Town of Stoughton, assisting with significant hardware upgrades across multiple schools. Edward holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Networking and Information Systems from Wentworth Institute of Technology.
