Joe Bamberg currently serves as the Sr. Director of Hardware at SimpliSafe, overseeing the hardware engineering organization, including electrical, mechanical, RF, systems, and sustaining engineering. Previously, Joe held the position of VP Hardware & Operations at Silvertree, where responsibilities encompassed electrical, mechanical, RF, and firmware engineering along with manufacturing and operations for an ultra low-power wearable device. Joe's experience includes serving as Hardware Lead at Sense, focusing on home energy monitoring technology, and as Principal Systems Hardware Engineer/Manager at Qualcomm, contributing to innovative MEMS display technology. With a foundational career at Analog Devices, Joe designed wireless IoT platforms and developed integrated circuits for energy smart meters used globally. Joe holds both a Master of Science and a Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering from the University of Miami.
