Sue Smith has a diverse work experience. Sue is currently serving as a Board Member for The Harrison Riedel Foundation and Heide Museum of Modern Art since 2018. Prior to that, they worked at Simplot Australia Pty Ltd as the Executive Director of Human Resources & Transformation in 2017. From 2016 to 2017, they held the position of Senior Vice President of Human Resources at J.R. Simplot Company. Before that, they served as the Executive General Manager of Human Resources at Simplot Australia Pty Ltd from 2012 to 2016. Additionally, they gained experience as the General Manager of Human Resources at Centro Properties Group from 2010 to 2012. Sue previously worked as the Chief Human Resources Officer at Fosters Group Limited from 2004 to 2010 and as the Vice President of Human Resources for GE Money from 2000 to 2004. Their earlier roles include serving as the Human Resources Director for Colonial Financial Services from 1992 to 2000 and as an Export Marketing Advisor for the Australian Trade Commission from 1990 to 1992.

Sue Smith completed their Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) degree at the University of Melbourne from 1983 to 1986. Their field of study included English, Economics, and History. Sue later pursued a Graduate Diploma in Human Resources at Deakin University, completing it in 1994. Their focus of study during this program was Human Resources Management and Services.
