Derek Simmons

Derek Simmons has extensive experience in sales and management, currently serving as Inside Sales Manager for the Food Group at J.R. Simplot Company since September 2014. Derek has progressed through various roles at the company, including Market Sales Manager, Senior Account Executive, Account Manager, and Territory Sales Representative. Prior to J.R. Simplot, Derek worked as a Recruiter for TERRA Staffing Group and as Operations Coordinator at Orswell Events, LLC. Derek also held the position of Recruitment Chairman at Phi Gamma Delta from 2010 to 2011. Academically, Derek earned a Bachelor’s degree from Washington State University (2009 - 2013) and is currently pursuing a Master of Business Administration with a focus on Management at Boise State University, expected to complete in June 2023.
