Jeff Habig is an accomplished professional with extensive experience in molecular and cellular biology research and regulatory science. Currently serving as the Director of Molecular and Cellular Biology R&D at J.R. Simplot Company since 2017, Jeff has held various roles within the company, including Senior Regulatory Science Manager and Regulatory Manager. Prior experience includes a position as Research Assistant Professor at Boise State University, where Jeff led an NSF-funded interdisciplinary project on regeneration, directed the Mass Spectrometry Facility, and taught courses in Cell Biology and Virology. Previous roles also include Research Scientist at Crowley Davis Research, Postdoctoral Fellow at the Howard Hughes Medical Institute, and adjunct professor at Westminster College. Notably, Jeff co-founded the Greater Arkansas River Nature Association, contributing to local environmental education and stewardship, and earlier worked as a Systems Software Analyst for West Publishing. Jeff holds a PhD in Virology and Cancer Biology from the University of Wisconsin-Madison and a BA in Computer Science and Philosophy from Gustavus Adolphus College.
