Stijn Vanorbeek

Stijn Vanorbeek has over two decades of hands-on product development and technology leadership experience. In 2020, they became the Chief Executive Officer of Simply-Bread.co, where they are responsible for meeting the growing demand for local, sustainable, small scale, artisanal bread production. From 2014 to 2015, they were a Self Employed Executive Consultant, CTO, Product Manager, Founder, and AWS Solutions Architect. During this time, they were also a Venture Partner at K5 Ventures, an early stage lab and funding platform. In 2015, they founded PlayWerk, a company that provides industrial VR solutions using gamified environments. From 2012 to 2014, they were the President of Ross Robotics. Finally, from 2001 to 2012, they were the CEO and Managing Director of FX Motion, a company that brought film-style motion control technology to television productions world-wide.

Stijn Vanorbeek studied Product Development at KU Leuven from 2005-2006. From 2002-2003, they attended Vlerick Business School and obtained a Challenge degree in Entrepreneurship/Entrepreneurial Studies & Business Administration. Prior to that, they attended Erasmushogeschool Brussel from 1999-2001 and obtained a RITS - BGM degree in Audio-Visual Technology. In addition, Vanorbeek has obtained a HAM RADIO LICENSE (ON1BSV) from BIPT - IBPT in April 1990 and an AWS SOLUTIONS ARCHITECT certification from Amazon Web Services (AWS).
