Chris Ryan is a Senior Solicitor in the Planning and Environment team at Simpson Grierson since February 2019, with extensive experience in local government and resource management matters, including appearances in all levels of the Senior Courts. Prior to this role, Chris held positions as a Solicitor in the Local Government & Environment team and as a Law Graduate, where involvement included rotations through the Securities Enforcement and Local Government & Environment teams. Chris has also worked as a Tutor at Straight A's Education Centre, aiding students in English, Maths, Biology, and Chemistry, and completed a Policy Internship at the Ministry of Business, Innovation and Employment focused on New Zealand’s innovation strategy. Additionally, Chris served as a Summer Researcher at the University of Auckland, contributing to a project on carbon storage by temperate mangroves. Chris holds Bachelors of Science and Bachelors of Law (Honours) in Geography and Environmental Science from the University of Auckland.
