Marshall Bates

Marshall Bates has a diverse work experience in the energy industry. Marshall started in 2013 as a Project Engineer at Cruz Energy Services LLC, where they assessed daily revenue and tracked project progress. In 2014, Marshall worked as an Upstream Analyst at Hart Energy, leading analysis of shale plays in the Midcontinent area. Marshall then held multiple roles as a Reservoir Engineering Technician at QED Energy Associates, Battlecat Oil & Gas, LLC, and Australis Oil & Gas Ltd, gaining experience in reservoir engineering. In 2016, Marshall joined Tanos Exploration II, LLC as a Reservoir Engineering Tech II. Marshall later worked as a Reservoir Analyst at Tellurian Inc., focusing on evaluating acquisition opportunities. From 2020 to 2022, Marshall worked at Forty Acres Energy LLC as a Project Manager and Production Tech, overseeing projects and conducting surface operations. Currently, Marshall is a Project Manager and Analyst at CirclesX since 2022.

Marshall Bates earned a Bachelor of Arts in Economics from The University of Texas at Austin, where they attended from 2006 to 2010. Later, they pursued further education, earning a Master of Science degree in Mineral and Energy Economics from the Colorado School of Mines from 2011 to 2013. Additionally, in 2012, they briefly attended IFP School and obtained a Master of Science in Petroleum Economics and Management.
