Simula Research Laboratory
Max Hort is currently an ERCIM Research Fellow at Simula Research Laboratory, bringing with him a diverse background in digital finance, software development, business intelligence, data analysis, and geocoding. Previously, Max worked as a Student Employee at KPMG Deutschland and completed an Integrated Degree in Business Information Systems at Otto (GmbH & Co KG). Max holds a PhD in Computer Science from UCL, a Master of Science in Artificial Intelligence from Maastricht University, and a Bachelor of Science in Business Information Systems from Fachhochschule Nordakademie Elmshorn. Additionally, Max has experience as an exchange student in Software Engineering at the University of Electronic Science and Technology of China.

Simula Research Laboratory's main objective is to create knowledge about fundamental scientific challenges that are of genuine value for society. Important research with long-term impact in the fields of networks and distributed systems, scientific computing and software engineering constitutes the basis of Simula. The strong focus on basic research is combined with both teaching of postgraduate students and development of commercial applications.
