Thomas Dreibholz

Chief Research Engineer at Simula Research Laboratory

Thomas Dreibholz began their work experience as a Student Research Assistant at The University of Bonn in 2000. Thomas then became an Associate Professor at the University of Duisburg-Essen in 2001 until April 2012. From May 2012, Thomas worked at Simula Research Laboratory as a Senior Research Engineer and later as Chief Research Engineer. In 2018, they joined Simula Metropolitan Center for Digital Engineering as Chief Research Engineer.

Thomas Dreibholz pursued their education in the field of Computer Science. From 1996 to 2001, they attended The University of Bonn, where they obtained a Master of Science (Dipl.-Inform.) degree. Following this, they enrolled at the University of Duisburg-Essen and earned a Ph.D. (Dr. rer. nat.) degree in Computer Science between 2001 and 2007. Continuing their academic journey, Thomas pursued a Habilitation degree at the University of Duisburg-Essen from 2007 to 2012.
