John Broadbent

John Broadbent is an advisor at Simularge with a wealth of experience in the manufacturing industry. John has previously worked at University of Tasmania, SIMULARGE Global, Medulla, Realise Potential, and mQ Intelligence.

At mQ Intelligence, John was the business and relationship director from January 2010 to December 2017. John was responsible for steering the organisation to become one of Australia’s leading authorities of Smart Factory implementations. John did this by creating the company's 6 Pillars of Manufacturing Excellence which became a novel assessment framework on which capability in the areas of Automation, Performance, Governance, Visibility, Integration, and Execution could be qualified. This allowed for strategic roadmaps to be proposed in order to address the organisation’s weaknesses.

Under John's leadership, mQ Intelligence had a 100% project success rate with significant ROI on each project. This contributed to their client’s success. Some of their major clients included Beak & Johnston, DecoGlaze, Pinnacle BII, Bindaree Beef, Arcadian Meat Co, Vittoria Coffee, OSI Foods, PPG, Avery, and EloPak (Norway).

John Broadbent has a Bachelor of Engineering (Mechanical) from the University of Technology Sydney and certification from The Coaching Institute (TCI) as a Certified eDISC Practitioner. John is currently working in the field of condition monitoring.
