John Shearer

John Shearer has over 25 years of work experience in the IT industry. John began their career in 1992 as a Systems Analyst at Apple. John then worked as an Enterprise Administrator at AT&T from 1996 to 1999. From 1999 to 2001, they worked as a Senior Unix System Administrator for Intraware, EDS, and Dantz Development as an independent contractor. From 2001 to 2004, they were the Sole Proprietor at WebReactor Networks, and then worked as a VP Engineering and Product Manager at PUREmail from 2004 to 2005. From 2005 to 2012, they were the Director of IS&T and Director of Network Engineering & Operations at Monsoon Commerce. From 2012 to 2013, they were the Director of Infrastructure at Simularity. Finally, since 2017 they have been the Sr. Director Infrastructure Engineering and Operations at Engage3.

John Shearer has attended the University of Rhode Island, where they studied Computer Science, as well as Diablo Valley College, where they have taken courses in CCNA, CISSP, and Cisco Wireless Networking.
