Conner Sandefur is a Senior Scientist at Simulations Plus, Inc. since December 2022, previously serving as the Founder of Sandefur Modeling LLC from January 2021 to December 2022. Sandefur Modeling was established to assist organizations in utilizing scientific research for community improvement through the development and analysis of predictive mathematical models. Prior to these roles, Conner was an Assistant Professor in the Department of Biology at the University of North Carolina at Pembroke from August 2015 to December 2020, focusing on process oriented guided inquiry learning and authentic research. Conner also held a SPIRE Postdoctoral Scholar position at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill from June 2012 to August 2015, and served as a Research Scientist at the University of Washington from February 2004 to July 2006, specializing in database management, PCR subcloning, and protein expression. Conner earned a Ph.D. in Bioinformatics from the University of Michigan and a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science from The George Washington University.
