Larry Root

Larry Root is the CEO and Co-founder of SimVentions, which has grown from three co-founders to over 300 employees across multiple offices since its establishment in March 2000. Located just outside Fredericksburg, VA, the company has expanded significantly under Root's stewardship. Prior to this, Root held various software engineering positions at Deadalion, Synetics, and Affiliated Computer Systems (ACS) from 1990 to 2003, focusing on real-time tactical systems and software development. Earlier experience includes a role as a Computer Scientist at the Naval Surface Warfare Center Dahlgren Division, where Root specialized in Navy and Marine Corps Intelligence Systems. Root earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Science from the University of Michigan-Flint in 1982. Additionally, Root is a member of a large family, being the eighth of twelve children raised in a supportive Christian home.
