John Candish

John Candish serves as the VP & Chief Product Expert at Sinch since November 2020. Previously, John held the position of VP & Chief Expert in the Internet of Things at SAP, where John founded a new line of business providing end-to-end connectivity for IoT devices in over 180 countries and established leadership in the IoT sector. As Head of Mobility Products at SAP following the acquisition of Sybase, John contributed to portfolio expansions and engaged in 5G service architecture. John's earlier experience includes serving as Senior Director at Sybase, where responsibility encompassed global interconnectivity for over 2 billion subscribers, and as Technical Director at Cable & Wireless, managing transitions that enabled connectivity for over a billion subscribers. John founded the start-up Xtempus Ltd, leading product strategy and successfully navigating the shift from corporate technical expertise to leadership in a small company. John holds a BEng (Hons) in Electrical Engineering from the University of Warwick and is a Chartered Engineer with the Institution of Engineering and Technology (IET).
