Matej Batič is the EO Research team lead at Sinergise, where they have been contributing since 2017. Prior to this role, Matej held positions as a post-doctoral researcher at INFN and a visiting researcher at Tyndall National Institute in 2010. They were also an assistant and young researcher at Jozef Stefan Institute from 2010 to 2013. Matej earned a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in Experimental Particle Physics from the Faculty of Mathematics and Physics at the University of Ljubljana, Slovenia, in 2009.
