Daniel Hoang has a diverse professional background spanning from 2005 to the present. Daniel began their career in 2005 as a Consultant for Pacific Technologies, Inc., where they supported two principal consultants in developing plans for the City of Surrey, BC and City of Boise, ID. In 2006, they joined the California State Auditor as an Auditor Evaluator, conducting performance and compliance audits in accordance with Generally Accepted Government Auditing Standards (GAO Yellowbook). From 2008 to 2012, they worked for Macias Consulting Group, Inc. as a Consulting Manager, Public Sector Services, and for the City of Davis as a Finance and Budget Commissioner. In 2011, they joined Hitachi Consulting as a Consulting Manager, Organizational Transformation. In 2013, they were appointed to the Seattle Citizens' Telecommunications and Technology Advisory Board as a Board Member. In 2020, they founded Nineteen80, a minority-owned small business management consultancy and storytelling agency, and became a Co-Founder of Singletto, working with the foremost experts and entrepreneurial leaders in pathogen-destroying singlet oxygen solutions.

Daniel Hoang obtained a BA in Economics from the University of Washington and an MPP in Public Policy from Pepperdine University. Daniel also holds certifications in Prosci Change Management from Prosci and Scrum Master Certified (SMC) from the Scrum Alliance.
