Yuan Ma

Yuan Ma has a diverse work experience in the field of product design and user experience. Currently, they are working as a Senior Product Designer at RisingWave Labs, where they hold the role of Founding Designer. Prior to this, Yuan worked at ETS as a UX/UI Software Designer from July 2018 to June 2020. During this time, they led the design process for the "DQSaaS" platform, including user research, workflow design, sitemap creation, wireframes sketching, and interactive prototyping. They also initiated and designed UI optimizations for the "iCat" platform. Before ETS, Yuan was a Product Designer (UX/UI) at Culinary Agents from December 2016 to June 2018. They started their career at ADP as a User Experience Designer, where they performed expert reviews, conducted redesigns, optimized designs to meet UX best practices and ADP UX standards, and collaborated with UX researchers on user interviews and usability testing. Prior to ADP, they worked at Opera Solutions as an Interaction Designer, where they distilled data-intensive business requirements and user goals into efficient interaction designs. They applied user experience methodologies to the agile product development process and produced workflow diagrams, wireframes, and clickable prototypes.

Yuan Ma attended the Beijing Institute of Graphic Communication from 2002 to 2006, where they earned a Bachelor of Fine Arts (BFA) degree in Graphic Design. Following this, they pursued their Master of Arts (MA) degree in Graphic Design with studies in Printing Art and Technologies at the same institute from 2006 to 2009. Finally, Yuan Ma completed their higher education at the University of Michigan from 2009 to 2012, obtaining a Master of Fine Arts (MFA) degree in Art & Design with studies in Information.
