Alexey Potapov

Alexey Potapov is the Chief AGI Officer at SingularityNET, a position held since March 2018. Prior to this role, Alexey served as a Professor at ITMO University from 2010 to October 2019, teaching courses in artificial intelligence, computer vision, machine learning, and artificial general intelligence (AGI). Additionally, Alexey was a Professor at St. Petersburg State University from September 2013 to July 2018, focusing on similar subjects, including cognitive robotics. From 2005 to 2014, Alexey led a research lab at the Vavilov State Optical Institute, specializing in computer vision. Earlier academic roles include Associate Professor at ITMO University from 2006 to 2009. Alexey's educational background includes a specialist degree in astronomy and mathematics from Saint Petersburg State University, a Dr Sci in computer vision and artificial intelligence from ITMO University, and a PhD in computer vision from the Vavilov State Optical Institute.
