Maowen Li

Maowen Li has extensive experience in the field of geosciences, having worked as a Research Scientist at the Geological Survey of Canada from February 1995 to October 2010, and currently serving as Chair-SciCom at the Sinopec Key Laboratory of Petroleum Accumulation Mechanisms since April 2011. Additionally, Maowen Li holds positions as a Senior Consultant at SINOPEC since December 2012 and as a Senior Scientist at the SINOPEC Research Institute of Petroleum Exploration & Production since November 2010. Prior roles include Research Associate at the University of Newcastle Upon Tyne from February 1991 to February 1995 and roles at Jianghan Petroleum Institute as a Research Assistant and subsequently a Lecturer from August 1982 to September 1986. Educational qualifications include a Ph.D. in Organic Geochemistry from the University of Melbourne (1987-1990) and a B.Sc. in Petroleum Geology from Jianghan Petroleum Institute (1978-1982).
