Sinopsis is an independent think tank based in Prague, focused on research related to the political system of the PRC, its interactions with foreign countries, and the geopolitical implications of China’s growing presence worldwide. Founded in 2016, Sinopsis began as a platform for Sinologists to contribute to public debate, particularly in response to misguided Czech policies toward the PRC. From the outset, Sinopsis has pursued two complementary tracks: domestically, producing reader-friendly content for Czech audiences syndicated through local media, and internationally, collaborating with experts worldwide on in-depth research with a strong emphasis on primary Chinese sources.
