James McInally-Field

James McInally-Field is an experienced Optics Research and Development Engineer currently working at Sintela. Prior to this role, James worked as a Research Associate at the University of Southampton, where James investigated planar grating couplers as part of QTAssemble. James holds a Doctor of Philosophy in Photonics from the University of Southampton and a MPhys in Physics from the University of Oxford. Currently, James is a Postgraduate Researcher focusing on researching Blazed Chirped Bragg gratings for spectrometer applications and expanding the capabilities of a laser writing platform for more complex designs.
