Koen Smits possesses extensive experience in software engineering and management, having held various roles in prestigious companies. At Philips Semiconductors, Koen served as Section Manager for DVB System Software, overseeing a team of 20 engineers in the development of Digital TV software, and later as Project Manager and Project Leader on several innovative projects. Prior to this, Koen worked at BSO/Origin as a Software Engineer and Team Lead, focusing on design-in projects for wireless phones, and gained valuable experience at Philips Medical Systems as a Software Group Leader managing 30-40 embedded software engineers. Koen also completed military service as a Software Engineer with the Royal Netherlands Army. Currently, Koen functions as a Manager at Sioux Technologies, handling account management and general management activities. Educational qualifications include a BSc and MSc in Computer Science from Fontys University of Applied Sciences and Eindhoven University of Technology, respectively.
