Tom Kooyman

Tom Kooyman currently serves as an Electronics Architect at Sioux Technologies since May 2023. Prior experience includes working as a System Architect at Lightyear from August 2018 to February 2023, where significant contributions were made to the design of a maximum power point tracker system for the Lightyear 0 vehicle, managing the full design cycle and team dynamics. Tom also held the position of Electronic Design Engineer at Prodrive Technologies from August 2016 to July 2018, focusing on motor drive auxiliary circuits and RF amplifier design, along with essential EMC testing. Early career experiences include an internship in IC design at Ericsson and serving as an Electronics Engineer for Solar Team Twente, contributing to a solar car project. Tom earned a Master’s Degree in Electrical Engineering from the University of Twente, where studies were completed from 2009 to 2016.
