Co-Founder at SiPhox

Michael Dubrovsky is a Co-Founder of SiPhox Inc., a YC and Khosla-backed startup leveraging existing semiconductor infrastructure to deliver next-generation at-home and wearable diagnostics. Michael was also a Co-Founder of PoWx, a nonprofit working on open-source hardware and software for performing Proof of Work cryptography with energy-efficient photonic ICs. In 2018, they were a Visiting Researcher at the Solid State Thermodynamics lab at the Technion - Israel Institute of Technology, where they worked on nanofabrication in the Technion RBNI cleanrooms and materials characterization at the MIKA Electron Microscopy center. From 2012 to 2018, they were a Part-Time Consultant and then Director of Research & Development at Simply Grid, which was named by Fast Company as one of the World's Top 10 Most Innovative Companies in Energy. Michael was also the Founder, CEO/CTO of Simply Grid, which was acquired by MOVE Systems.

Michael Dubrovsky began their educational journey in 2004, when they attended Stuyvesant High School. In 2008, they graduated from the State University of New York College of Environmental Sciences and Forestry with a Bachelor of Science - BS [Joint Degree with Syracuse University] in Chemistry and Natural and Synthetic Polymers. Michael's senior thesis was titled "Enhancing Enzyme-Catalyzed Polymerization". In 2019, they enrolled in the Massachusetts Institute of Technology's Advanced Study Program, where they studied Materials Science. In 2020, they completed their program at MIT and also attended Y Combinator. Additionally, in 2018 they obtained a certification from AIM Photonics Academy for PIC Fundamentals, and they are currently enrolled in a course from edX called Phot1x: Silicon Photonics Design, Fabrication and Data Analysis.
