Sirindhorn School, Surin Province, located in the vibrant heart of Surin, Thailand, stands as a distinguished beacon of learning where academic excellence is harmoniously interwoven with enduring cultural heritage. Since its establishment in 1935, the school has been devoted to nurturing knowledge, cultivating character, and shaping generations of young people who grow to contribute meaningfully to society.

Originally founded as Surin Girls’ School, the school began its educational journey in collaboration with Surawittayakarn School. This early partnership laid the foundation for a proud tradition of scholarship, discipline, and integrity that continues to flourish.

In 1936, the school established independent administration, defining its own educational identity. Three years later, in 1939, it relocated to a site behind the Surin Provincial Court, reflecting its growing role in expanding educational opportunities for the youth of the province. In 1944, the school moved to Municipal School 1, before establishing its permanent home in 1959 at Nong Yao, where it now occupies approximately 26 acres of land.

A defining moment in the school’s history occurred on 1 August 1962, when His Majesty King Bhumibol Adulyadej The Great (Rama IX) graciously bestowed upon the school the name “Sirindhorn School.” The name was granted in honor of Her Royal Highness Princess Maha Chakri Sirindhorn, symbolizing the enduring support of the Thai monarchy for education and national development.

Today, Sirindhorn School serves as a dynamic center of learning for students from Grade 7 to Grade 12, fostering intellectual curiosity, moral integrity, creativity, and leadership. Through its commitment to academic excellence and character formation, the school continues to inspire generations of students who contribute with distinction to Thailand and the global community.
