Senior Sales Engineer at Sisense

Paul Smith has over a decade of work experience in various roles and industries. Paul began their career as a Laboratory Technician at Yale University, where they conducted genomic DNA extractions and analyzed sequencing data. Paul then worked as a Research Associate at The Jackson Laboratory, leading a project to characterize gene variations associated with life extension in mice.

After that, they joined Flatley Discovery Lab as a Research Associate, focusing on developing a small molecule cure for cystic fibrosis. Paul maintained cell culture colonies and conducted experiments to determine chloride efflux.

Smith later worked at Biogen Idec as an Associate Scientist II, evaluating a new protein PCR technology to detect the presence of protein A and host cell protein in antibody drug intermediates. Paul made an observation that improved the lower limit of detection.

Their experience in the technology industry includes roles at Chartbeat and JW Player as a Sales Engineer, where they provided technical guidance to support the sales process and conducted pre-sales presentations. Paul then joined ViewLift as a Solution Engineer, Director, leading technical sales engineering and closing deals with notable clients.

Recently, Smith has been working at Sisense as a Sales Engineer, first as a Sales Engineer and then promoted to Senior Sales Engineer. Their responsibilities include establishing clients' business and technical challenges, gathering requirements, and delivering presentations.
