Principal, Team Lead, Software Developer (content Acquisition) at Siteimprove

Christopher Pedersen has a diverse range of work experience in various software development roles. Christopher started their career as an IT-Supporter at Copenhagen Business School from July 2006 to September 2009. From June 2010 to July 2010, they worked as an Actionscript 2 & 3 Developer at andreasboedker, focusing on the development of children's games in Flash. Christopher then joined Avaleo as a Java Developer from July 2010 to March 2011.

Following this, Christopher worked at MovieStarPlanet ApS from April 2011 to April 2016. Initially, as a Game Developer, they worked on both the front-end flash application and the backend in C#. Christopher then transitioned into the role of a Full-Stack Developer, primarily responsible for serverside game programming in Java and deployment in Amazon Web Services.

From April 2016 to April 2018, Christopher worked as a Senior Application Developer at Siteimprove, focusing on developing applications and solutions for finding accessibility issues on websites.

From April 2018 to September 2021, they worked as a Senior Software Developer at Siteimprove, where they created and serviced a new web crawler for scraping content for downstream applications. Christopher also migrated and discontinued the old web crawler written primarily in Perl.

Christopher then advanced to the position of Principal, Team Lead, and Software Developer at Siteimprove. From September 2021 to March 2022, they worked as a Senior, Team Lead, and Software Developer in the Spider Team, driving new feature development on the web crawler and training new employees. From March 2022 to January 2023, they took on the role of Principal, Team Lead, and Software Developer for the Spider Team, working on driving feature development and maintaining the downstream linkchecker application. Currently, they hold the position of Principal, Team Lead, and Software Developer for Content Acquisition at Siteimprove, where they are responsible for the web crawler and driving the re-architecture of the legacy linkchecker application.

Christopher Pedersen obtained a Gymnasium degree in Technical, Math, and English from Frederiksberg Tekniske Skole (TEC) from 2001 to 2004. Christopher then pursued a Bachelor's degree in Business Administration and Computer Science at Copenhagen Business School from 2004 to 2007. Completing their education, Christopher obtained a Masters degree in MTG (Media, Technology, and Games) Tech Line from IT-Universitetet i København from 2007 to 2009.
