Robert Walker

Robert Walker has a diverse and extensive work experience spanning over several companies. Robert is currently working as a Principal Software Engineer at Siteimprove since 2022. Previously, they held the role of Lead Software Developer at Studio Atma, where they worked on the development of an indie JRPG-style game called Gravastar. Prior to that, they served as a Lead Member Of Technical Staff, and later as a Senior Software Engineer at Tableau, where they led the implementation of migration paths to microservices and mentored junior developers. Robert also worked as a Senior Software Engineer/Technical Lead at Expedia Group, where they guided the migration of services to the cloud and led a team to develop new services for easy deployment on AWS. Robert has prior experience at Microsoft, where they worked as an SDET II and Operational Engineer II, and at Logical and Premiere Conferencing as a Consultant and Senior Network Administrator, respectively. Their earlier roles include working as a Systems Engineer at Computer Solutions and a Senior Network Administrator at Steck-Vaughn.

Robert Walker received a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science from the University of Washington in 2009. Robert also obtained additional certifications including Certified ScrumMaster from Scrum Alliance in April 2013 and MCSE on Windows 2003 from Microsoft in 2007, as well as MCSE on Windows 2000 from Microsoft in 2002.
