Mike Spector

Mike Spector has over 20 years of work experience. Mike started their career in 2001 as a Senior Software Engineer at Bridgeline Digital, where they developed various client-server Windows apps using C++ as well as multi-tier enterprise applications using C# and ASP. NET. In 2004, they moved to Kaneva as a Senior Software Engineer, where they lead development of multiple aspects of the Kaneva Game Platform -- a Windows-based solution for rapid development of MMO PC games. In 2006, they joined Electronic Arts as a Software Engineer. In 2007, they were promoted to Lead User Interface Engineer at Propaganda Games (Disney Interactive Studios). In 2011, they moved to Capcom Game Studio Vancouver as a Senior Software Engineer. In 2012, they joined Hi-Rez Studios as a Senior Software Engineer, where they were responsible for leading a platform team developing Game Systems for SMITE, a 3D action MOBA, as well as across other titles in the studio. In 2016, they were promoted to Director, Development at ThreadKM. In 2017, they moved to NetDocuments as a Technical Lead, where they lead development and architecture of ndThread, a social collaboration and matter-based messaging tool built within the NetDocuments cloud platform. In 2021, they joined Sony Immersive Music Studios as a Principal Engineer. Most recently, in 2022, they were promoted to Director of Software Engineering at SITEMETRIC.

Mike Spector attended Simon Fraser University from 1993 to 1999, where they earned a B. Sc. (Honours) in Computing Science with a co-op option.
