Laura Halenius has a diverse work experience spanning many years. Laura began their career as a Research Assistant at the Turku School of Economics in 2004. In 2005, they worked as a Communications Officer for The Student Union of the Turku School of Economics. From 2005 to 2012, they held the position of Head of Communications at the Suomen 4H-liitto - Finnish 4H Federation, where they managed both internal and external communications for the organization during a period of significant change.
In 2012, Laura joined Sitra, where they held various roles. Laura started as a Communications Lead, responsible for organizational communications and marketing. Laura then became the Senior Communications Lead, leading a team and developing the multi-channel communications strategy for Sitra. Laura also played a key role in designing and implementing the Sitra.fi website, which received recognition from the Finnish Association of Communication Professionals.
Laura'smost recent role at Sitra is as a Senior Lead in the IHAN® – Human-driven data economy project. In this position, they focused on building innovative data policy and analyzing the development of the data economy. Laura also contributed to the social debate and impact on the business environment.

Laura Halenius completed their Finnish Matriculation Examination from Kallion lukio in the years 1997-2000. Following that, they pursued a Master's Degree in Economical Sociology, Marketing, and Management at the Turku School of Economics at the University of Turku from 2002 to 2008.
