Jaak Laineste

Jaak Laineste is an experienced product manager and technical leader with a strong background in geospatial technology and software development. Currently serving as Product Manager at Trimble Transportation Europe since May 2023, Jaak focuses on the Transporeon Carbon Visibility product. Prior experience includes roles as Director of Product Management and core product manager at Sixfold, and Product Manager at CARTO, where management of engineering and tech decisions for mobile mapping solutions was key. As the founder and technical lead of Nutiteq, Jaak developed advanced mapping toolkits for smartphones. A former CTO at Reach-U, Jaak managed the development of location-based applications and GIS platforms. Jaak has also contributed as an independent expert for the European Commission and holds multiple degrees from the University of Tartu, including an MBA in Technology Management and an MSc in Geoinformatics.
