Sean Phipps

Sean Phipps has worked in a variety of roles since 2007. Sean began as a Department Manager - Pro Audio at Guitar Center in 2007, followed by an Audio/Visual Technician at Norwegian Cruise Line in 2008. In 2009, they worked as a Security Guard at Andrews International and as a Cryptologic Network Warfare Specialist (35-Q) and Signals Collector/Analyst (35-S) at the US Army and National Security Agency. In 2013, they became a Cyber Analyst Consultant/SME at Praescient Analytics, followed by an Instructor/Training Designer at KEYW Corporation in 2014. In 2016, they transitioned to an Intelligence Analyst at Ball Aerospace, and in 2017 they assumed the role of Cyber Threat Operator at SIXGEN.

Sean Phipps obtained their Bachelor of Science (B.S.) in Audio Engineering Technology from Belmont University between 2002 and 2007. Sean then went on to earn their Master of Science (M.S.) in Offensive Computer Security from Eastern Michigan University in 2012. In 2016, they obtained their (ISC)2 Security CISSP (ISC2-CISSP) certification from (ISC)². Finally, in 2020, they obtained their Certified Ethical Hacker (CEH) certification from EC-Council.
