Christopher Schaefer

Christopher Schaefer, Ph.D., currently serves as Managing Director at Sixth Street since January 2017, where roles have included Principal and Vice President. Prior to this, Christopher held the position of Vice President of Investment Analysis and Research at DRI Capital from June 2011 to December 2016, contributing to a leading firm in healthcare royalty investing. Earlier experience includes working as a Director of Investment Analysis and Research at UBS, as well as roles as a Small/Mid-Cap US Biotechnology Analyst and Associate Research Analyst in Large Cap Biotech. Christopher's academic background includes a Post-Doctoral Fellowship at Columbia University Medical Center, specializing in epigenetics, following a Ph.D. in Microbiology and Molecular Genetics from the University of Medicine and Dentistry of New Jersey and a BA in Biology from Rutgers University - Newark.
