Tanner Smith

Director of Talent Buying and Festival Development at Sixthman

Tanner Smith has a diverse work experience in the music and entertainment industry. Tanner started their career in 2004 with Sixthman, LLC as a Stage Manager for Rock Boat Cruises. Tanner later joined Metro Talent Group as an Office Manager, Contract Administrator, and A&R, from 2004 to 2006. In the same year, they also worked as a Tour Manager for Corey Smith Touring Inc.

In 2006, Tanner joined the Atlanta Symphony Orchestra (ASO) as a Program Director. Tanner also held the position of Program Director at the Woodruff Arts Center and Chastain Park Amphitheatre during the same period. Their role at the ASO and its affiliated organizations lasted until 2013.

In 2013, Tanner joined ASO Presents as the Director of Programming and Production for a year. Tanner then moved to Kennesaw State University in 2012, where they served as a Venue Booking & Promotion Instructor.

Tanner's most recent experience was with Sixthman, where they held the roles of Sr. Talent Buyer from 2014 to 2022 and Director of Talent Buying and Festival Development from 2014 onwards.

Tanner Smith attended Georgia State University from 1999 to 2004, where they earned a Bachelor's degree in Sound Recording Technology & Engineering.
