Warren Wright

Lead Data Scientist & Algorithm Engineer

Warren Wright has worked in a variety of roles since 2003. Warren began their career as the Owner of Wright Consulting, where they developed a hedge fund profit and loss reporting application, used Matlab's Statistical and Artificial Intelligence capabilities to forecast national Real-Estate-Investment-Trust prices for a property hedge fund, and created and executed trading strategies and general management of the proprietary trading book (multi-strategy fund). In 2008, they began working as a Mathematical software consultant at the National Physical Laboratory, where they were responsible for mathematical modeling of complex timing algorithms as part of a Galileo contract with the European Space Agency. From 2010 to 2015, they worked as a Grad Student in Physics at Penn State University, where they created numerical and analytical code libraries to investigate the detectability of novel high energy particle physics theories, and received two separate awards as a graduate teaching assistant. In 2015, they began working as a Postdoctoral Researcher at NC State University, where they performed mathematical modeling of astrophysical phenomena, and their publications were selected by the APS and Nature Magazine as research highlights and were ranked in the top 2% of all research of its type. In 2018, they began working as a Lead Data Scientist & Algorithm Engineer at Size Stream, where they were recognized for effectively presenting complex analyses to senior leadership, and was promoted to team lead in 9/2018. Warren's team used new 3D dithering and re-sampling algorithms to improve product precision by 67%.

Warren Wright obtained a Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) in Physics from Penn State University between 2010 and 2015. Prior to that, they obtained a Certificate of Advanced Studies in Mathematics (Masters) from the University of Cambridge between 2008 and 2009, and a Master of Science (MSc) in Applied Mathematics from the University of Johannesburg between 2003 and 2004.
