Michael Wenning

Michael Wenning has a diverse work experience in engineering and leadership roles. Michael is currently the Director of Engineering at SJCA Inc. since April 2023. Prior to that, they worked as the Regional Bridge Lead at Burgess & Niple from September 2020 to April 2023. From October 2012 to September 2020, they served as the Director of Transportation Services, Indiana at GAI Consultants, Inc. Michael also had significant involvement in the American Society of Civil Engineers, where they served as the Chair of the Leader Training Committee from October 2012 to September 2015 and as the Society Treasurer from November 2010 to October 2012. Michael started their career as a Department Manager at American Structurepoint, Inc. in March 1980 and held this position until September 2012. Michael also served as the District 9 Director (Region 4) at the American Society of Civil Engineers from November 2006 to October 2009.

Michael Wenning has a Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in Civil Engineering from Purdue University, which they obtained in 1981. Michael also completed their Master of Business Administration (MBA) degree in Business/Managerial Economics at Point Park University from 2016 to 2018. Furthermore, they attended the US Coast Guard Academy for their undergraduate education in Civil Engineering from 1976 to 1980. Additionally, Michael Wenning holds a certification in NHIS Bridge Inspection from the Indiana Department of Transportation.
