Betsy Hellmann is an accomplished legal professional with extensive experience in international arbitration and trade law. Currently serving as Counsel at Skadden, Arps, Slate, Meagher & Flom LLP and Affiliates since November 2000, Betsy has represented clients in significant arbitration cases, including a French client's ICC arbitration against a Brazilian state-owned entity and securing a $700 million (plus interest) award for an Indian satellite and telecommunications company. Prior to this role, Betsy was a Law Clerk to the Honorable Richard W. Goldberg at the U.S. Court of International Trade from 1998 to 2000. Betsy holds an A.B. from Princeton University and a Doctor of Law (JD) from The George Washington University Law School.
